Ibn Sina University Organizes Field Visit for First-Year Students to Al-Yarmouk Hospital

Under the patronage of the President of Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, a field visit was organized for first-year students to Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital / Radiology and Ultrasound Unit, under the supervision of the faculty members of the Department of Physiology / Medical Physics. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by introducing students to the functioning of modern diagnostic equipment within healthcare institutions. During the visit, students were exposed to a range of advanced medical devices, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT Scan), X-ray, and Ultrasound systems.

The Presidency Council of Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences held an emergency meeting in a special session chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, to address the issue of salary funding and the challenges associated with it. During the meeting, the council hosted the Director of the Internal Audit and Control Department, Ms. Shaimaa Shamkhi Sahib, and the Financial Affairs Officer, Assistant Lecturer Sarmad رضا Mustafa. A detailed discussion took place regarding the current funding situation and the mechanisms required to address it in a way that ensures the حقوق of university staff and their job stability.
