The examinations were held at Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital from 14 to 30 June 2026, following an official invitation extended by the President of the University. The Council of Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, with the attendance of the Council members, to discuss a number of academic and administrative matters included on the meeting agenda and to adopt the necessary decisions in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University`s plans for the advancement of the educational process.

Ibn Sina University Organizes the Mandatory Training Course on Energy Sustainability, Environmental Protection, and Occupational Safety

Under the patronage of the President of Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education at the University Presidency, organized a mandatory training course on Energy Sustainability, Environmental Protection, and Occupational Safety. As part of his continuous follow-up of the educational and examination process, the President of Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, conducted an inspection tour to review the progress of the final clinical examinations for sixth-year students in the College of Medicine. The visit covered the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics, with examinations held at Al-Karkh Maternity Hospital and Ibn Al-Baladi Hospital for Children and Maternity.

As part of his continuous follow-up of clinical and practical examinations, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, President of Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, visited the practical examinations of sixth-year medical students in General Surgery, which were conducted at Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital. He was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hadi Jaber, Head of the Surgery Department, and Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Ahmed Abbas, Specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Fractures. During the visit, he reviewed the examination procedures and the organizational methods used in evaluating students.

Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Sharifi, President of Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, supervised the research discussions of Arab Board postgraduate students in Internal Medicine in his capacity as the scientific supervisor of the Yarmouk Educational Center for Arab Board Studies. The discussions were held at Al-Yarmouk Teaching Hospital from June 7 to June 11, 2026.
